Quinta da Côrte – Princesa 2017, Reserva – Douro

The nose is fruity, elegant, aromatic and offers a beautiful finesse of the grain, freshness as well as harmony. It reveals notes of blackberry, wild cassis and small notes of black plum associated with small touches of small blue fruits, Cuben pepper, fine hints of spices, nutmeg, sense of place, a very discreet hint of olive, of racy minerality (terroir) as well as an imperceptible hint of wild strawberry, cumin, salinity, black olive and rosewood. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, elegant, aerial, very discreetly tight and offers a juicy / acidulous frame, a beautiful definition, finesse, harmony, dynamism, a beautiful finesse of the grain as well as freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy / juicy cassis, fleshy / juicy blackberry and small notes of black plum associated with a touch of wild strawberry, small blue fruits, violet, a hint of sense of place, olive tree, salinity, spices as well as a very discreet hint of black olive, caramelization and toasted. Tannins are elegant and beautifully fine. Good length.
