(organic) The wine has a pale ruby color with very slight garnet reflections. The nose opens with distinct, yet refined tertiary notes: wet leaves, dry tobacco leaf (cigar box) and a fine touch of fresh mushrooms. We then find the notes of crushed strawberry, dried strawberry, cherry juice, fresh morello cherry, roasted red cherry, crushed blackcurrant, blueberry jam and black plum (even with a touch of prunes in alcohol), as well as a herbaceous hints (dried mint, a hint of eucalyptus, dry pine needles, a discreet touch of basil in the background), spicy notes (liquorice, coriander seeds, nutmeg, a hint of star anise), floral bouquet ( fresh lily, dried rose in the background) and toasted notes (toasted almond, a touch of bitter cocoa). The palate is tight and chiseled, with structured tannins balanced by the juiciness and fruitiness of the wine. It expresses on the attack the fruity flavors of morello cherry, dried red cherry, crunchy strawberry, raspberry coulis, crushed blackcurrant and fresh black plum, which are then completed by spicy notes of white pepper, licorice and nutmeg, by a fine floral bouquet (dried rose, lily), a hint of torrefaction (toasted almond) and by more discreet tertiary notes, than on the nose (dry tobacco, a touch of wet leaves). The tannins are tight on the finish, but softened by a salivating acidity.
