Provenance – Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 – Howell Mountain – Napa Valley

The nose is fruity, gourmand and offers a small richness and a fine deepness. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, very ripe Boysen berry, small notes of plum associated with small touches of cornflower, liquorice stick as well as fine hints of lily/cornflower, caramelization and tonka bean. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juicy/finely acidulous frame, a good definition and minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry, small notes of crushed blackcurrant as well as touches of ripe raspberry, cornflower, violet as well as very fine hints of tonka bean and toasted almond. Tannins are well-built. Good length and persistence.
