Provenance – Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Barrel Select – Rutherford, Napa Valley

The nose is fruity, well-balanced and offers a slight power as well as a good finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis and small notes of wild raspberry associated with small touches of Zan, tobacco as well as discreet hints of spices. The mouth is juicy, fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a slight acidulous frame, gourmandise, a beautiful suavity as well as a certain delicacy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, fleshy cassis and small notes of crushed raspberry associated with small touches of redcurrants as well as slight hints of small ripe wild berries, Zan, dark chocolate, caramelization, slight toasted hints and sweet spices. Tannins are fine and well-built. There are a discreet hint of vanilla, hazelnut and dark chocolate powder on the aftertaste.
