The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is warm, enveloping and spicy. It expresses notes of grated nutmeg, ground cloves, crushed gray pepper seeds, as well as a touch of licorice and toasted vanilla in the background. We then find the freshness of cut wild mint, a touch of oregano and subtle notes of flowers (violet, wild rose). The fruity substance is juicy and fresh: the wine offers notes of crunchy morello cherry, blueberry, wild blackberry, wild strawberry, fresh raspberry and elderberry. The palate expresses young and powerful tannins, rather grainy and dry in the mid-palate. It also expresses the flavors of ripe and juicy fruits (griotte, wild strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, wild blueberry), associated with notes of dried wild mint, dried rosemary, cornflower, violet, as well as touches of torrefaction and sweet spices (mild coffee, toasted hazelnut, cocoa, cinnamon, toasted vanilla, clove, nutmeg). The finish is persistent, with salivating acidity and sweet notes of dark chocolate, which soften the tannic structure of the wine, which needs time to round out.
