The nose is fruity, structured, slightly gourmand and slightly powerful. It reveals notes of blackberry, fresh cassis and slight notes of licorice associated with a woody hint as well as discreet hints of blueberry and spices. The palate is fruity, soft, velvety, tight, well-balanced and offers a slight acid frame, a slight minerality, a nice volume, tension, straightness as well as a nice definition. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis and slight notes of plum associated with a discreet hint of strawberry, an imperceptible hint of blueberry, discreet hints of licorice, toasted/caramelized oak as well as a subtle hint of flowers (in the background) and mocha. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length and persistence. The persistence is relatively gourmand.
