The nose is relatively fruity. It reveals notes of crushed blackberries, crushed wild strawberries and slight hints of cassis combined with a discreet hint of violet, spices, tobacco, chocolate as well as a discreet hint of clove, Sichuan pepper and an imperceptible hint of thyme. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a fine juiciness, a nice mineral frame, suavity and a discreet acidity (in the background). On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, black cherry, raspberry and slight hints of fleshy wild strawberry combined with a discreet hint of redcurrants, olive, cardamon, tea, toasted wood and chocolate. Tannins are slightly dry. Good length. The wine need to be served in carafe.
