Poderi Moretti – Ginis 2011 – Roero Riserva

Poderi Moretti – Ginis 2011 – Roero Riserva

The nose is powerful, aroamtic and quite elegant. It reveals slight notes of blackberry, wild black berries associated with a discreet hint of red fruits, iodine, Sichuan pepper and spices. The palate is fruity, mineral, fresh, elegant and offers a beautiful acid frame, a beautiful minerality, suavity, fat, a slight straightness as well as a beautiful freshness. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy raspberry, fleshy Quetsche plum and slight notes of juicy cassis associated with touches of juicy red berries, toasted oak, chocolate as well as a slight notes of caramelization and a very discreet hint of roasting. Tannins are well-built and a bit firm. Good persistence. There is a subtle hint of cassis bud, iodine, juicy fruits and roasting/grilled on the persistence.
