Poderi Luigi Einaudi – Cannubi 2014 – Barolo

Poderi Luigi Einaudi – Cannubi 2014 – Barolo

The nose is aromatic, spicy and offers a small power, elegance as well as a beautiful definition. It reveals notes of cherry bigarreau and ripe / crushed wild berries associated with touches of blackberry, crushed raspberry as well as small touches of flowers, slight hints of chocolate, liquorice and a very discreet hint of laurel / dried local vegetation. The palate is fruity, elegant, melodious and offers a beautiful definition, a beautiful suavity, a slightly unctuous matter, a small aerial side, a beautiful precision as well as a mineral frame. A beautifully delicate, fine and “lacy” wine ! On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed red berries, cherry bigarreau and small notes of wild raspberry associated with touches of cassis, flowers (lily, cornflowers) as well as slight hints of tobacco, Zan, Bourbon vanilla and cardamom. Tannins are fine, well-built and structuring. Beautiful persistence with notes of vanilla, toasted, almond and a hint of sweet blond tobacco. A beautiful wine!
