Pelassa – Antaniolo 2015 – Riserva Roero

The nose is elegant, gourmand and offers juiciness. It reveals notes of Boysen berry, crushed juicy blueberry and small notes of wild strawberry associated with fine touches of raspberry, plum, liquorice stick, a very discreet toasted hint as well as an imperceptible hint of Cuben pepper and tonka bean/black tea. The palate is fruity, juicy, fresh and offers minerality, a good balance, a good definition, tension, suavity, racy minerality, energy, a beautiful texture, silkiness as well as a beautiful racy grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry, juicy/crunchy violet plum and small notes of juicy/crunchy raspberry associated with a touch of ripe/crushed red berries as well as a very discreet toasted hint, chocolate, black tea and caramelization. A beautiful wine. The finish is slightly tight and gourmand. Tannins are slightly firm. Good length.
