Pavillon de Léoville Poyferré 2022 – Saint-Julien

Pavillon de Léoville Poyferré 2022 – Saint-Julien

The nose is racy, spicy and offers tension and an intense side. We find notes of violet, bright blackcurrant and small notes of fresh/pulpy raspberry associated with touches of nutmeg, graphite as well as a hint of toasted/crushed almond and a fine hint of vanilla pod. The palate is fresh, mineral, fruity and offers a nice definition, a tangy structure, minerality, tension as well as accuracy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulp blackberry, pulpy/juicy blackcurrant and small notes of cornflower associated with touches of crunchy cherry as well as fine almost roasted hints, licorice stick as well as a fine hint of camphor and tonka bean. The tannins are supple, sapid and delicious. Lovely freshness, tangy, rounded and bright.
