Pavillon de Léoville Poyferré 2021 – Saint-Julien

Pavillon de Léoville Poyferré 2021 – Saint-Julien

The nose is fruity, mineral and shows a fine/very discreetly tight grain and harmony. There are notes of pulpy raspberry, fleshy cherry and, to a lesser, extent, bright blackberry combined with fine touches of almost saline minerality, fine fresh flowers, spice and zan. The palate is mineral and reveals freshness, good definition, a certain juiciness, minerality and linear character. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/juicy blackberry, small red berries and more lightly fresh violet, fresh peony combined with toasty/caramelised notes and a subtle hint of saline minerality. Good length. The tannins are very discreetly straight/firm.
