Pavillon de Léoville Poyferré 2018 – Saint-Julien

The nose is fruity, racy and offers power, minerality as well as a fine concentration/power. It reveals notes of fresh blackberry, ripe cherry and small notes of blackberry associated with small touches of fleshy cassis as well as fine hints of fresh violet, liquorice and toasted. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, gourmandize, juiciness, a fine creaminess as well as a very fine acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh blackberry, juicy/fresh raspberry and small notes of crushed small red berries associated with small touches of cassis, cornflower as well as a discreet hint of peony and a fine hint of liquorice.
