Offley – LBV 2013 – Porto

Offley – LBV 2013 – Porto

(bottled in 2017) The nose is aromatic, intense, slightly powerful and slightly gourmand. It reveals notes of blueberry and Quetsche plum associated with slight touches of plum skin / black cherry, minerality, fresh red berries, spices as well as a subtle hint of Zan, cigar, cocoa and a slight / discreet hint of peony. The palate is fruity, mineral, silky, elegant, well defined, suave and offers a beautiful matter, a good guideline as well as a slight acid frame. On the palate this Porto expresses notes of black cherry, crushed blueberry and small notes of cooked cassis combined with slight touches of liquorice / Zan, cocoa, sweet spices as well as an imperceptible touch of almond. Tannins are elegant. Good length.
