Newton – Unfiltered 2018 Chardonnay – Napa Valley

The nose is fruity and offers elegance, a certain power, a small richness as well as a fine grain and a small fleshiness. It reveals notes of pulpy/juicy pear, bright pear, small notes of quenette associated with touches of toasted, vanilla as well as fine hints of citrus (mandarine, lemon) and toasted. The palate is fruity, elegant, well-balanced, full of finesse/straightness (despite a certain power) and offers gourmandize, juiciness, a good definition, a mineral frame, finesse in its construction and a beautiful delicate fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy pear, crushed peach, small notes of small white fruits associated with touches of lemon, mesocarp as well as fine hints of kumquat, lychee, a hint of exotic fruits, butter and toasted. Good length. A beautiful gourmandize in the persistence.
