Muse du Val 2020 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose offers concentration (in elegance), a certain intensity as well as a fine/finely tight grain. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, wild cassis, small notes of strawberry associated with touches of small pulpy/ripe black berries associated with touches of graphite, saffron, dark tea, cherry/griots as well as hints of vanilla, nutmeg and a fine hint of grey pepper. The mouth is fruity and offers freshness, juiciness, roundness, a certain gourmandize, a small creaminess, tension, a finely tight grain as well as depth. On the palate this wine expresses notes of wild pulpy/creamy blackberry, pulpy/fleshy strawberry, small notes of plum associated with touches of small black fruit as well as hints of liquorish, graphite, caramelization, a fine hint of toasted hazelnut, coffee and bourbon vanilla. Good length.
