Monteverro 2010 – Toscana IGT

Monteverro 2010 – Toscana IGT

Beautiful elegant nose that offers a certain brightness, control and deepness. It reveals notes of small black fruits / cooked cassis, blueberry and small notes of Bigarreau cherry associated with touches of cornflowers, lily, small dried local flowers, hints of camphor, warm earth as well as a subtle hint almost sage and sense of place (local biotope). The palate is fruity, beautifully led, deep and offers balance, freshness, a nice definition, elegance, a small stretched side as well as a certain opulence. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of quite ripe wild cassis, violet and small notes of wild strawberry combined with touches of cornflowers, star anise, earthiness, olive tree as well as a subtle hint tapenade. A beautiful salinity on the finish. Tannins are elegant and mellow. A discreet hint of camphor in the background. Beautiful persistence (14 caudalies).
