The nose is elegant, aromatic, beautifully defined and precise. It reveals notes of ripe blackberry, black olive and small notes of very ripe wild strawberry associated with very discreet hints of violet, thyme as well as subtle hints of underwood and a discreet hint of blood orange. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy, precise, very slightly tight and offers an elegant acidulous frame, tension, a good definition, a beautiful grain, a racy minerality, a fine fleshiness as well as a good and elegant tannic structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of very ripe cassis, very ripe red berries and touches of cherry pit, very ripe blackberry associated with touches of ceps/mushrooms, discreet hints of underwood, tonka bean, toasted as well as an imperceptible hint of caramelization/cardamom (in the background) and black olive. Tannins are elegant and well-built. A beautiful wine !
