Monteverro 2008 – Toscana IGT

Monteverro 2008 – Toscana IGT

Beautiful and elegant nose which offers a certain delicacy, a fine aerial side in its relative power, plenitude as well as youth in its fruit. It reveals notes of fairly ripe blueberry, violet and small notes of black berries associated with small touches of camphor, soil/earth as well as hints of local grove, fresh olive leaf and a hint of game. The palate is elegant, well-balanced and offers fruit, delicacy, freshness, roundness, precision, a mineral frame, an aerial side as well as a certain brilliance of the fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, pulpy/juicy black berries and small notes of raspberry associated with a touch of fairly ripe purple plum, hints of camphor, black olive as well as a subtle hint of sage, tonka bean and a discreet hint of toasted almond. Good length. Tannins are supple and delicate. Beautiful acidity!
