Monluc 2009 – Armagnac

The nose is fruity and offers a certain gourmandize, a fine richness and a very fine intensity/minerality. It reveals notes of peach in syrup, candied lemon, small notes of orange associated with fine touches of dry lemon, dry white raisin as well as fine hints of caramelization, a subtle hint of nougatine and a very discreet hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers an acidulous/racy frame, a good definition, elegance as well as power, a very fine aerial side, a fine grain, tension, a good definition and a beautiful guideline. On the palate this Armagnac expresses notes of orange orange zests, small notes of pepper associated with small touches of nougatine, toasted hazelnut as well as a subtle hint of dry white fruits as well as a very discreet hint of dry flowers and Gascony oak. Good length. Power, a hint of roasted, toasted almond and a very discreet hint of spices on the persistence.
