Moncheiro 2015 – Barolo

The nose is fruity, very discreetly tight, aromatic and offers a fine concentration / power as well as elegance. It reveals notes of blackberry, plum and small notes of black cherry associated with touches of strawberry, violet, slight hints of cornflower, chocolate, toasted as well as a discreet hint of nutmeg, tobacco sweet blonde and an imperceptible hint of Cuben pepper. The mouth is fruity, juicy, elegant and offers a beautiful definition, a beautiful finesse, a juicy / ripe fruit, verticality, tension, an acidulous / juicy frame, a beautiful suavity, freshness, sweetness, gourmandise as well as a good and very discreetly tight structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, purple plum and small notes of crushed cassis associated with slight touches of wild small red fruits, licorice stick, tobacco leaf as well as very discreet hints of sens of the place, crushed cocoa and an imperceptible hint of Cuben pepper. Tannins are well built, elegant and structuring. Good length and persistence. There is an imperceptible hint of almost saline minerality on the finish. Beautiful finish on freshness, ripe / juicy fruits as well as hints of chocolate / caramelization.
