The nose offers notes of tobacco, sage and more slightly gray pepper associated with touches of fleshy blackberry, strawberry as well as hints of cloves and a subtle hint of arbutus. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, finely tight and offers suavity, good definition of the fruit, a little freshness, juiciness, tension as well as energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy / luscious blackberry, juicy / luscious raspberry and more slightly bright currants associated with touches of arbutus, toasted almond, chocolate, with fine hints of toasted hazelnut, black olive as well as a subtle hint of fresh sage and an imperceptible hint almost verbena. Presence of a subtle hint of good bitterness on the finish / persistence. Tannins are precise, finely firm and offer a little straightness.
