The nose is aromatic, well-built and offers a fine incisive side as well as a very fine alcoholic hint. It reveals notes of mandarine zests, kumquat, small notes of spices associated with fine touches of Eau-de-vie pear, a discreet hint of spices as well as an imperceptible hint of eucalyptus. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers minerality, an acidulous frame, tension as well as a certain elegance. On the palate this Porto expresses notes of acidulous kumquat, crystallized mandarine, small notes of Eau-de-vie pear associated with fine touches of quince, small yellow fruits/dry yellow currant as well as a discreet hint of nutmeg, honey, tobacco and an imperceptible hint of eucalyptus. Good length. A discreet hint of patisserie on the persistence.
