Martha’s – 30 Years Old – Tawny Port

Martha’s – 30 Years Old – Tawny Port

The nose offers a small power as well as a fine freshness (in the background). It reveals notes of cristallized mandarin, citrus zests and small notes of kumquat associated with small touches of liquorice stick, caramelization, toasted as well as hints of chocolate and a fine hint of cigar. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, a small tension, fat, a small richness as well as a fine acidulous frame. On the palate this Porto expresses notes of strawberry jam, candied orange and small notes of lemon/cristallized kumquat associated with small touches of date, dry apricot, hints of caramelization, chocolate as well as discreet hints of crushed almond/toasted hazelnut, crème brûlée and very discreet honey hints (in the background). Good length and persistence.
