The nose is aromatic, with controlled power, a fine, tight grain, deepness. There are notes of quince, dried apples and more lightly of citrus zest (grapefruit and kumquat) associated with touches of verbena, crushed pears, fine hints of spices, beeswax, toasted almonds, nutmeg and a very discreet hint of chocolate in the background. The palate is fruity, gourmand, suave and offers a nice juicy / tangy frame, good definition, fleshy, roundness as well as finesse. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of lemon, seed and more slightly tangy / juicy quince. There are also touches of yellow berries, pineapple, lychee, as well as a hint of verbena, acacia and discreet hints of spice. There are hints of toasted almond as well as an imperceptible hint of almost vanilla and walnuts in the background. There is a nice tannic side on the finish with some chewiness. It is a lovely, charming, pulpy, fresh and nicely tangy wine. The finish has a discreet crunchy/fresh fruit side.
