Maison Champy – Cuvée Edme 2019, Pinot Noir – Bourgogne

The nose offers a fine power, a fine minerality, a fine power as well as an aromatic side. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, ripe wild strawberry and small notes of raspberry associated with touches of violet, tobacco, dried lily, fine hints of vanilla as well as a very discreet hint of camphor and pepper. The palate is fruity, a bit tight and offers freshness, minerality, a fine concentration, tension, a fine acidulous frame as well as a pulpy / juicy / slightly acidulous fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright cherry, acidulous / juicy redcurrants and small notes of acidulous / juicy blackberry associated with touches of violet, small blue fruits, hints of liquorice, vanilla, toast as well as with a subtle hint of nutmeg and rose. Presence of a very discreet hint of chocolate on the finish / persistence.
