Magali Bernard – Clos du Roi 2015 – Bourgogne Coulanges La Vineuse

The nose is gourmand, racy and offers a fine richness. It reveals notes of quince, mirabelle plum, beeswax and almonds combined with hints of white peach, brioche and a very discreet hint of citrus. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a nice mineral frame, a nice suavity, a good definition, gourmandise, a nice fat, precision and unctuosity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of quince, mirabelle plum jam, beeswax, almond and small notes of ripe white peach / nectarine associated with a hint of citrus, orange zest as well as subtle touches of flint and brioche. Good length. The persistence is endless, gourmande and suave. There is a touch of bitterness on the finish. There is a touch of almond / hazelnut on the aftertaste.
