M. Chapoutier – Pinteivera 2013 – Douro 

The nose is aromatic and offers gourmandise as well as a small juiciness. It reveals notes of wild strawberry, flowers (iris, violet, small fresh flowers) and blackberry associated with small touches of crushed cassis, raspberry, Cuben pepper as well as slight hints of chocolate, sweet spices and slight toasted hints. The palate is fruity, well-built, mineral and offers juiciness, a good balance, a good definition, gourmandise, finesse, a good guideline, dynamism as well as a slight acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh / juicy raspberry, juicy blackberry and small notes of fleshy / juicy strawberry associated with small touches of blueberry, flowers as well as very discreet toasted hints and racy minerality. Tannins are well-built.
