Lou Bassaguet Sainte Victoire AOP Côtes de Provence Sainte Victoire 2021

The wine has a pretty pale pink color. It is clear and shiny. The first nose has a certain aromatic intensity on pomelo, yellow peach accompanied by minerality. Allowed to breathe, it’s lovely. We still perceive citrus fruits with hints of lemon blossom, but also peach and orchard fruits. There are also some small crushed red fruits and a hint of vanilla. The tasting is fresh and focuses on flowers in particular the rose. It’s a real potpourri of fresh roses and faded petals. We feel a moderate acidity that accompanies the peach and the small wild strawberry. The whole is pleasant with a little bitterness in the middle of the mouth. The finish is on very ripe figs and a hint of salt. It is not very persistent but is salivating.
