The nose is fine, aromatic, elegant, relatively velvety and offers a certain intensity. It reveals notes of blackberry, fresh cassis and fine touches of fresh strawberry associated with hints of bell pepper, touches of spice as well as fine touches of Sichuan pepper and a hint of Lapsang Souchong tea. The palate is fruity, gourmand, suave, powerful, relatively fat and offers a beautiful volume, a good minerality (in the background), tension as well as a beautiful unctuous and harmonious matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, juicy plum and a hint of cassis, wild red berries associated with discreet hints of green fig, bell pepper, Lapsang Souchong tea, liquorice, zan and a (very) slight hint of wood. Tannins are fine, elegant and structuring. Good length and persistence with notes of licorice, blackberry and a touch of dried strawberries.
