Les Tours de Cantinot 2010  – Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is fine, fresh, elegant, structured, slightly powerful and offers a slight straightness as well as a slight hint of austerity. It reveals notes of ripe blackberry, cacao, wild strawberry and minerality/flint associated with slight hints of crushed cassis, woody hints as well as a very discreet hint of undergrowth, a subtle hint of Sichuan pepper and spices. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, well-balanced, silky and offers a beautiful suavity, juiciness, a slight fat, precision, finesse/delicacy, a slight acid frame, a slight tension, a beautiful matter, precision as well as a beautiful precise fruit. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of redcurrant, cherry and slight notes of cassis associated with slight hints of blackbery, violet as well as discreet hints of licorice and a subtle hint of vanilla oak. Tannins are well-built, round and slightly firm. Beautiful aromatic persistence.
