Les Pélerins de Lafon-Rochet 2022 – Saint Estèphe

A pretty elegant, powdery nose which offers a fine graphite side. It expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, dense/juicy black fruits and more slightly – pulpy purple plum, associated with touches of bigarreau cherry as well as hints of racy minerality, tonka bean and a subtle hint of bergamot and cloves. The palate is fruity, and offers freshness, minerality, tension, smoothness, a certain fatness, accuracy, a nice dynamic and energy. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, pulpy/bright blackcurrant and more slightly – bright blue plum, associated with touches of violet, bright raspberry as well as hints of fresh violet, racy minerality, broad bean. tonka, nutmeg and hints of toast. The tannins are supple, elegant, suave and soft. Good length.
