Les Griffons de Pichon Baron 2019 – Pauillac

Les Griffons de Pichon Baron 2019 – Pauillac

The nose is aromatic and flowery. There are notes of pulpy blackberry, lily and, more slightly, blueberry, combined with a touch of powder, saffron, fine hints of spice, as well as a discreet hint of liquorice and a very discreet hint of cola. The palate is fresh (a very nice freshness), fruity and offers minerality, a nice definition, roundness, a fine richness/unctuousness as well as some spherical side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of creamy blue berries, juicy/fresh boysenberry and slightly crunchy berries combined with a touch of saffron (on the floral side), spice and a discreet hint of hazelnut and incense. Good length. Some mellowness on the finish. A nice delicacy! A very discreet hint of iodine in the aftertaste.
