Les Fiefs de Lagrange 2016 – Saint-Julien

Les Fiefs de Lagrange 2016 – Saint-Julien

The nose is fruity, fresh, quite fine and relatively concentrated. It reveals slight notes of ripe/fresh blueberry, blackberry and ripe/fresh strawberry associated with hints of licorice, violet as well as discreet toasted notes/chocolate, very slight notes of minerality and an imperceptible hint of Sichuan pepper (on the background). The palate is fruity, fine, fluid, nicely ample and offers a beautiful minerality, an acid frame, a beautiful freshness, a nice fat, softness, juiciness as well as a nice structure. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of crushed blackberry and fresh/ripe strawberry associated with discreet hints of raspberry, ripe/juicy cassis, licorice as well as a very discreet hint of violet and grilled hazelnut on the persistence. Tannins are fine and offer already nicely chewy.
