The nose is fruity and reveals a certain power. There are notes of wild blackberry, dark berries and slightly terra cotta with hints of violet, pencil lead, fine mocha and subtle clove and sweet spice. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers a tangy structure, good minerality, roundness, some volume, a tangy/juicy structure, tension and some salinity. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy wild blackberry, bright blackcurrant and, more lightly, wild berries combined with hints of camphor, violet, peony and a subtle hint of terra cotta, almost saline and toastiness.
