The nose is fruity, fresh and reveals a certain brightness and freshness of fruit. There are notes of fresh raspberry, bright blackberry and more lightly of fresh/juicy red berries combined with fine hints of violet, racy gravel, a discreet hint of liquorice, fresh tobacco, a subtle hint of lily and an imperceptible hint of pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity and shows freshness, minerality, a nice definition, crunchiness, freshness of the fruit as well as good definition, precision and roundness. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh cherry, fresh red berry and slightly violet notes with hints of fresh/juicy plum, as well as fine hints of liquorice, chocolate, fine hints of saline/rooty minerality, tonka bean and toastiness. The tannins are supple. A fine touch of toastiness and toasted almond on the finish/persistence. Good length.
