Le Pauillac de Château Latour 2019 – Pauillac

The nose is aromatic and offers fruit, a nice floral/pistil quality and a fine peppery chracater. There are notes of iris, violet and, more slightly, blackberry, combined with attractive touches of blue berries, saffron, cherry and fine hints of liquorice. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, good definition, energy, dynamism, freshness, fine unctuousness and a nice acidic structure. Subtlety and freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, juicy/fresh blackcurrant and more slightly blueberry, iris combined with hints of chocolate, toasted hazelnut, saffron as well as a hint of crunchy cherry, chocolate and toasted/caramelised. Subtle roast/coffee on the finish. Nice persistence. Good work on the bitter taste.
