Le Nid – Tradition 2017 – Moulin-à-Vent

The nose is fruity and offers generosity (full of finesse and control) and a certain intensity. It reveals notes of candied redcurrant, bigarreau cherry, small notes of crushed blackberry associated with touches of liquorice stick, acidulous cassis candy as well as fine hints of cuben pepper, tea, a very discreet hint of orange and sense of the place. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a beautiful roundness/suavity, gourmandize as well as tension and a good finesse of the structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed/candied cherry, candied redcurrant, small notes of acidulous/fleshy plum associated with touches of violet, cornflower as well as fine hints of violet, brioche, tonka bean and a very discreet hint of toasted hazelnut. Good length. Tannins are precise and elegant. A very discreet chew on the persistence with notes of dark chocolate and black tea. A wine full of length.
