The nose is fresh, racy and offers freshness as well as a certain tension/stretch. There are notes of fresh cherry/crunchy cherry, violet and more slightly lilac combined with subtle touches of cardamom, crushed black berries as well as hints of grey pepper and a discreet hint of star anise. The palate is nicely gourmet, fresh and offers minerality, tension, a nice purity of fruit as well as airiness in the approach. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy raspberry, crunchy cherry and more slightly fresh/crisp blackberry combined with delicate touches of racy minerality, a subtle hint of bergamot/murberry leaf as well as fine hints of chocolate and toasted almond. Fine chewiness and sapidity on the finish.
