Le Comte de Malartic Blanc 2021 – Pessac-Léognan

Le Comte de Malartic Blanc 2021 – Pessac-Léognan

The nose is nicely led, fresh and reveals a certain fleshiness/richness as well as a nice racy character. There are notes of quenette, bright white peach combined with hints of lychee, a subtle hint of passion fruit as well as discreet hints of fresh/sparkling mirabelle plum and a subtle hint of almost gravelly saltiness. The palate is fruity and offers elegance, gourmandize, acidity, minerality, some saltiness (almost smoky), volume, roundness, good definition, tension, some spherical side and sapidity. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of candied white peach, pulpy lychee and, more lightly, quince, combined with touches of passion fruit, a hint of kumquat, a subtle touch of ripe zest and very discreet hints of orange blossom and salinity. Nice freshness and minerality. Good length.
