L’Audacieux de Franc-Baudron – Montagne Saint-Emilion 2020

(Organic) The nose is fruity and offers concentration, depth, a floral side, a nice little powdery/fresh quality and a discreet almost incense note. There are notes of fresh cherry, violet and incense combined with hints of blackberry and a touch of blueberry and camphor. The palate is fresh, fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, acidity, good definition, gourmandise, tension and a fine, fresh and powerful texture. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/crunchy blackcurrant, roasted cherry and more slightly violet combined with hints of fresh/pulpy black berries, a hint of bright blue berries, fine vanilla, fresh tobacco as well as discrete hints of incense, camphor, fresh pistil and an imperceptible almost fresh sap (in the background). The tannins are supple and mellow.
