L’Audacieux de Franc-Baudron 2019

L’Audacieux de Franc-Baudron 2019

On the nose it is elegant and offers “richness in discretion / control”, a small concentration, a nice grain as well as a nice definition. The wine should be decanted to gain in scale and accessibility. It reveals notes of fleshy / crushed strawberry, fleshy / crushed blackberry and more slightly of lilac, violet associated with small touches of crushed small red fruits, pulpy purple plum as well as hints of cardamom, almond, with a subtle hint of Cuben pepper and a very discreet hint of Bourbon vanilla bean. The palate is fruity, balanced, full of finesse / precision and offers juiciness, freshness, good definition, elegance, smoothness, depth as well as richness in balance and control. On the palate this wine expresses notes of creamy Boysenberry, bright cassis and more slightly cornflowers associated with touches of bright blueberry, crushed raspberry as well as fine tangy / sweet hints, toasted almond, chocolate, nutmeg and sweet blond tobacco. The tannins are elegant, chewy and smooth. Chewiness at the end of the length / persistence.
