Labastide Dauzac 2019 – Margaux

Labastide Dauzac 2019 – Margaux

The nose is fresh, floral and currently a little tight. The wine benefits from being decanted. There are notes of pulpy blackberry, creamy raspberry and more slightly crushed cherry combined with hints of tart violet candy as well as fine notes of lily and a discreet hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, tightly wound at present and offers freshness, minerality, good definition, juiciness, smoothness, roundness, tension, a little airiness in the approach and a nice purity/gourmandise of fruit. On the palate this wine expresses crunchy cherry, lily, lilac and slightly pulpy raspberry notes combined with a touch of crisp/pulpy red berries, fine hints of liquorice stick and a discreet hint of bergamot and toasted almond. Nice acidity and sweetness/appetence on the finish. A very discreet hint of chocolate in the background.
