La Tour de By – Héritage Marc Pagès 2021 – Médoc

The nose is elegant, aromatic and reveals a spicy edge. There are notes of crushed red currants, blackberry and, to a lesser extent, violets, combined with hints of strawberry, spice and a discreet hint of oregano. The palate is fresh, mineral and balanced, offering fruit, tension, energy, good definition, an acidic backbone, a slight airiness in the approach and a fine, tight texture. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/flavoured blackberry, pulpy/flavoured violet plum and, to a lesser extent, crisp wild strawberry, combined with hints of fresh flowers, spices, as well as fine hints of liquorice, camphor, a discreet hint of balsamic and fine hints of chocolate (in the background). The tannins are elegant and racy.
