La Sirène de Giscours 2015 – Margaux

La Sirène de Giscours 2015 – Margaux

The nose is aromatic, racy and offers a slight concentration as well as a small elegance. It reveals notes of boysenberrie, cassis and cherry associated with slight / discreet touches of leather / spices as well as a touch of Sichuan pepper and an imperceptible hint of violet. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced, silky and offers a good acid frame, juiciness, tension as well as a very slight freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, ripe / crushed redcurrants, plum and slight touches of ripe / fresh raspberry associated with a touch of fresh cherry, small touches of Zan, tobacco, a discreet hint of mocha (in the background) as well as subtle touches of cornflower, cardamom / spices and a discreet hint of gray pepper (in the background). Tannins are well-built and slightly chewy. Good length. There are discreet hints of caramelization on the finish. Chew on the finish. (2020+)
