La Montanina Chianti Classico Riserva 2019

(Organic) The wine shows a medium-deep ruby garnet colour, brightening on the rim. The nose is dense and concentrated, slightly oaky, opening up with notes of strawberry compote, dried wild strawberries as well as hints of grey pepper, oregano, a touch of tobacco leaf and garrigue. The palate is warming and intense with good fruit concentration, some smoothness, ripeness and well-managed, round tannins. The wine is packed with ripe red and black cherries, crunchy raspberries, strawberries combined with notes of sweet spices and savoury herbs. Suave, juicy, lingering finish.
