La Joly 2021 – Bordeaux Supérieur

La Joly 2021 – Bordeaux Supérieur

The wine has a deep ruby color with light purple reflections. The nose is a little reserved and requires aeration. It then expresses notes of black plum, red plum, wild strawberry, blackcurrant, morello cherry and blueberry, which combine in the second nose with notes of liquorice, menthol, dry pine needles, violet, cornflower, as well as very fine spicy and woody notes (clove, toasted almond, dark chocolate with mint). On the palate, the wine is juicy, fruity and expressive. We find notes of morello cherry, red cherry, black plum, red plum, crunchy strawberry, blueberry and blackcurrant, associated with touches of blackcurrant leaf, violet, licorice, mint chocolate, cloves and dry pine needles. The tannins are well structured, with a certain power and a silky texture. Beautiful lively and salivating acidity. The finish is persistent and delicious, enveloping, even a little sweet, with notes of roasted cherry and cherry in chocolate.
