La Gloire du Paysan, Famille Saintout 2020 – Médoc

(Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot) The wine has a deep ruby color with purple reflections. The nose is fragrant, fruity and offers density and gour;qndise. It expresses notes of ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, wild blackberry, morello cherry, a tangy touch of blueberry), the roundness and sweetness of red fruits (wild strawberry, red cherry in jam), as well as a delicate spiciness and pleasant aromas of crushed vanilla pod and licorice stick, as well as a hint of toast in the background. We also find elegant herbaceous and floral touches (violet, wild mint, lily). On the palate, the wine is juicy and fresh: it offers flavors of tart red cherry, fresh blackcurrant, blueberry, strawberry and raspberry, complemented by spicy notes of licorice, white pepper, as well as a smoky and floral touch (violette). The finish is persistent and offers energy and refreshing acidity. The tannins have a fine grain, slightly drying on the finish. A gourmand wine, fruity, with a firm structure.
