The nose is fruity, racy and offers a fine juiciness, a fine power, a fine freshness, gourmandize as well as a fine intensity. It reveals notes of blackberry, raspberry, wild strawberry and fine touches of ripe small wild fruits associated with fine/discreet touches of gravels (Graves), graphite, a subtle hint of violet/lilac as well as a very discreet iodine hint and Cuben pepper. The palate is fresh, fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition, a beautiful acid frame, juiciness, suavity, fat, a very fine unctuosity as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. On the finish this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy cassis and more slightly black cherry, red berries, wild raspberry associated with a hint of fresh flowers, mentholed liquorice as well as discreet touches of cocoa, caramelized oak, a very discreet hint of sugared mild tobacco and toasted. Tannins are fine, elegant and very slightly chewy. Chews on the finish. Good length and good persistence.
