La Chablisienne – Les Vénérables 2018 – Chablis

The nose is fruity and offers a fine richness of fruit and a fine fleshiness. There are notes of pulpy yellow plum, quince and more lightly crushed yellow berries combined with hints of apple blossom as well as fine white berry and vanilla notes. The palate is fruity, balanced and reveals minerality, a fine chiselled quality, a fine volume, freshness and a certain energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy green apple, lychee and more lightly flint, combined with hints of fresh, juicy white berries, fresh white flowers, discreet varietal hints as well as a subtle hint of zest, salinity, a touch of iodine and a very discreet hint of fresh almond. Good length.
